Grandparents and their new baby

These are the true heros of this birth. Each one of them pitched in and went above and beyond after Lauren was born. We love them so very much and can not thank them enough for everything they contributed...

Lauren Elizabeth

Made her way to us on March 8th at 10:58am...She weighed in at 5 pounds, 14 ounces and was just shy of 38weeks.
Here are some photos...

Needless to say, things have changed a lot since Lauren came home. Kate is now a big sister and seems to get more and more "into" that role everyday. Not sure how often I am going to be able to post but I will try and make it as much as I can to keep you up on Kate and our newest baby girl...we feel truly blessed that they are both so happy and healthy.

Lauren is coming...

Pregnancy: Week 37
Your Baby
At 6½ pounds and 21 inches long, your baby is doing well. She's practicing what it's like to breathe, inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid to perfect her skills. She can also suck her thumb, turn her head, swallow, blink, and grasp.

35+ pounds with Lauren...

O-R-E-O

Dan made a trip to the grocery store for us today-not one of his favorite things to do I should add...

SO how did he do? A 9 1/2 out of 10...he brought home everything that was on the list and one additional item that Kate seems to really enjoy.

Kate...the lost pictures

In my attempt to get this house in order pre-Lauren I stumbled upon a disposible camera that we never developed. Funny how acustom you get to digital cameras that I was not even sure how to go about dropping off film(and if the places that used to do it still did??). ANYWAY got the film back and found some real treasures that I thought I should share...Hard to believe that Lauren is already bigger than Kate was in any of these pictures!

The picture Dan thought I had destroyed(wonder why??)

No more pictures!!

Dad and Kate, the evening feed(always full of surprises)

Field Trip/Spa Day

What a great day March 2nd was! First of all it was Queenie's birthday. Her house was covered in flowers when we arrived-all from Grandad-so sweet.

Queenie and I spent the day at the Lake Austin Spa....ahh so relaxed. Both of us had massages and pedicures-Lauren got a kick(and so kicked the therapist) out of the pregnancy massage.

Kate had an even greater field trip to Cabela's! Her and her Grandad(which she seems to be calling him "daahdahh") spent the morning looking at all sort of wild beasts (some of whom were shopping) and the two wall sized aquariums. Kate loved the fish and it was so relaxing to watch them that she fell asleep in the cart!
