Memorial Day Weekend

We took the annual trip to Dallas for Dan's birthday this weekend. Both girls got to spend a lot of time with his folks. Sunday night, Kate and Lauren's Aunt Christine, Uncle Gary and cousin Ryan came for dinner. Here are a bunch of pictures taken during the weekend.

We also spent some time with friends and their kids...Kate has a new boyfriend(Chuck, dad to Gus and Charlie, could not keep her away from him!?!)

Aunt Funny Returns

Two of my favorite people were inseperable all weekend. Aunt Funny came back to Austin to get sworn in as a Texas lawyer(for those keeping score that makes three law licenses for Laura(yea Laura) and she wins the award for most licenses which she can keep next to her trophy for most degrees). Here she is with her niece who can't wait to follow in her footsteps(gig 'em).

Mom looks like mom again

I could not stand it any longer-time to get my haircut. I had put it off since we brought Lauren home because to leave her would be to starve her. So I went and saw April(the stylist) and Dan took care of the girls. Barrett is in town so he got to spend time with Kate at the Farmer's Market(it is Saturday..) and then Vivo.
Queenie also got some quality time with Lauren (who seemed to be more hungry than sleepy the entire time I was gone...)
OH and by the way, Barrett I think you left something behind. PLEASE come by and pick it up on your way out of town...

Thursday Fun

We started the day at Strollerfit in our new, Grandad assembled double jogger. Both girls seem to do really well in it and mom is getting there.
Today we also headed to the Big Marble(Marble Falls) with Queenie and Grandad. Lauren gets her first real taste of gourmet in MF at Pattons.

Sick Day

So Mother's Day Weekend was not all tulips and lilies. Kate had a bit of green snot to contribute. We went to the dr this morning and she has a sinus infection(i.e. not contagious). I only mention this because we also got both girls weighed...Kate is now 23 1/2pounds and Lauren is 10 1/2 pounds...hefty hefty hefty!!

Mother's Day Weekend

This weekend flew by in a whirlwind! Aunt Funny and Andy came down from Oklahoma to visit and we spent most of the weekend with them. As usual, our weekend was centered around food...Vivo for lunch on Saturday, steaks on Saturday night followed by homemade peach cobbler and chocolate ice box(from Luby's), and a wonderful grilled chicken spread for lunch today.

Lauren's Well Check

Dr Cardwell said that Lauren is just "perfect". She now weighs a "hefty" 8 pounds, 14 ounces and is 21 1/2inches long. The nurse measured her length three times because it was 2 1/2 inches more than the last time we were at their office! Yea Lauren!!

We will be spending the rest of the day recouping from three shots she had to have in her leg(vaccinations)-poor baby!
