Our visit with Santa

Pictures tell the story....

As we walk toward the big guy, Lauren puts a death grip on my back

Kate was not so thrilled to be sitting by him either

The picture says it all...

Comforting her sister who still had not forgiven her mom, Grandad or Queenie

Both much happier to be with this big guy!

Smiles when we ask if they want to ride the train...

Kate does!

Her sister does not...

We will try again to get these silly girls to take some good Christmas pics(sans Santa)

Girls being girls

Have taken a few cameo shots of the girls lately and wanted to share.

Kate LOVES to play doctor and Lauren is a very agreeable patient. Since the whole pneumonia incident when Kate received two mega shots, all she wants to do is return the favor. Daily we hear her say "Lauren it's time for your shots".

We have one stroller that the girls must share. Sometimes that is an issue but today it was not. They both pushed baby around-all smiles.

Lauren may be my girly-girl. If there are is a vacant pair of shoes, she will put them on. She LOVES these pink plastic healed shoes of her sisters and refused to take them off today. This pictures captures her "on the way to the grocery".

Thanksgiving

We headed up I-35 to Allen for Thanksgiving this year. Nana, Beiboo, Aunt Christine, Uncle Gary and Cousin Ryan were all waiting for us. We all had such fun despite the chilly temps! Here are a few pics from the weekend:

Kate's Thanksgiving Performance

Kate's school holds a Thanksgiving play and "dinner" every year. At our house, the grown-ups were much more excited about it than the kids. We asked Kate to give us a preview of the songs we would hear but she refused. Sadly we still have no idea what songs they sang. Our performer remained mute throughout (as did all but one of her classmates...it must be the age-the 2year class all stood there looking back at their parents and not singing a word...the choir director ended with familiar songs like Itsy Bitsy Spider and we still got nothing...).

Her class enters last...

Kate takes her position

The performers

Our Little Indian

One interesting thing should be noted. There were three classes performing-the 2yr old(Kate's), 3year old and the 4year olds. Little one pounder Kate was placed in the back row with the 4 year old class because of her height. She fit right in with them and pretty much towers over her own classmates...how far she has come!

Barrett Comes to Visit!

Barrett came into town for a few days and the girls loved hanging out with their Uncle B. Here are some pics from the weekend:

Best we could get them to pose....most of the time was spent handing him books to read....

Queenie and Grandad also did a little reading that weekend...

Sisters

It's Saturday so it must be Vivo!

Home again, home again

Doctor said that I now have pneumonia, so we are spending another day inside. This time the girls are much more active and the toys are much more spread all over the floor. We did make muffins and the girls are now "sleeping" in Kate's room...(I heard Kate ask Lauren "you want to sleep in my bed" "yeah" And Kate took her hand and led her to her room. She then told Lauren "Go get my beepees". Lauren flew through the house to retrieve her sister's blankets. Here is the pic I took when they settled down:

Going to have a quiet day inside and get well. BIG game this weekend to rest up for!

Kate misses school

Kate really misses school. All day, obviously feeling better, I have heard every song they sing. From "bottoms on the rug" to "hands on your head", she sings them at the very highest note...not your next American Idol I will admit.
Just now her sister and I were folding clothes when Kate grabbed her sisters hand and said "do you want a stamp?". She began pulling her into the living room and singing "put your hands on your head, on your head"(the song they sing at the end of the day-her teacher then stamps their hand if they had a good day). Kate used the ties at the ends of the shades to "stamp" her sister's hand.

Stamping

I think someone feels better

Little Ladybugs

We had two ladybugs at our house last night. Both were a little snotty but were the best "candy hander outers" anywhere. They loved answering the door and seeing all the costumes. When things got a little slow, they both wanted the front door open so they could watch for more kids. Overall a fun night with Queenie and Grandad here to help relieve a little of the cabin fever.

"There she is Miss Ladybug" heading straight for...

Her Grandad

Big Sister Ladybug wanted to go outside

Here we go

Once we were outside, these "ladies" wanted to "fly"
