Sorry it has taken so long to post! We have had some computer "memory" issues and have been unable to download any pics...all fixed so onto the pics....

"cookies for Kate"

We have noticed that with Kate's increase in vocabulary, she has also begun to talk about herself in the third person a lot more. "Kate do it..", "Kate cook", "Kate watch Ina in mom's car". Today before she took her nap she looked at me and said "Kate take nap then make cookies" which is exactly what she did...

Saturday at Brian's party, the girls got new monkey's from their Aunt Julie. She also made them extra beepees(which is more of a gift for Dan and I than the girls...saves us if we have a beepee malfunction). Kate and her monkey...

It is Spring Break here so Kate is out of school for the week. We have made it to most of the nearby parks and the zoo (despite the cloudy skies all week). Pics from the zoo...

Welcome Home Brian!

Saturday we drove to Katy to see my cousin Brian and welcome him home from Kuwait! His mom threw a great party-very patriotic which we loved! Kate and his daughter Lily(she's 4) met for the first time and became fast friends.

Lauren's Stats

Lauren had her 1 year well check appt today. She had quite a growth spurt since the last visit. The doctor said something I had never heard during a well check..."she is in the 50-75% in both height and weight"-yea Lauren!! He said she is totally proportional and just perfect. She now weighs 21 pounds 14ounces and is almost 30 inches long. (Kate was weighed on Tuesday and is now 28 pounds-she has gained almost 2 pounds since her tonsil surgery!!)

Lauren's Birthday

Lauren had a full day on her birthday. Started with mom's Strollerfit class at the park and we stayed after and played on the swings and slide. Next we headed to CFA for lunch with Brayden and his mom and we finished that meal with ice cream. Next to Target where we had to find a new baby for Lauren(she LOVES Kate's but so does Kate). Home for naps and then to Queenie and Grandad's for Chicken and Biscuits, presents and cupcakes. Whew! Here are some pics from Queenie and Grandad's house...

Playdate Party

Lauren's birthday was celebrated with a playdate at our house. Frosted cupcakes(in white, chocolate and pink) were waiting when the kids arrived and all sorts of decorations were available to make each cake unique. Such fun and a great way to celebrate a first birthday!
