First it was one step, then two or three and then this afternoon it was 10 steps and then 15. Got a bit of her on video(it seemed that everytime I turned it on she fell...).

Buffett Weekend

This weekend was a milestone...Dan and I went out of town without the babies-a first. We joined some friends in Dallas and went to the Jimmy Buffett concert-such a great show and it was so great to be out as an adult with no children around!

Kate and Lauren stayed at Queenie and Grandad's Bed and Breakfast. Here are some pics they took during their stay:

Throat Bug

Lauren was hit with a pretty nasty bug on Friday. Temperature hovered in the 103's and she lost the twinkle in her eye. The doctor said it is a virus that is going around(the only symptoms are the high fever and the blisters in the back of her throat).

Lately, we have had runny noses and ick with all the rain and pollen. Today Dan was set to be gone for most of the day, so we decided to make it a girls day of recovery. We stayed in our jammies all morning and baked a big chocolate cake-yum!

Quick story about Kate. She sees a random piece of paper on the counter after her bath. She picks it up, looks at it and says "oh Lowe's". Here is the paper...she is 2 1/2!!!

NICU Reunion 2007

Saturday was the St David's NICU reunion. It has been almost three years since Kate made her appearance there-so hard to believe! We did get to see some nurses who remembered and were so proud of how far Kate has come. Loved being able to share such a special day with Kate's boyfriend from the NICU, Jeremy and his family. Most importantly we saw Dr Rivera, who was her doctor during the entire process.






Kate acted VERY shy and did not speak a word for the time we were there. On the drive home, we heard no other voice but hers from the back seat, recounting our time at the reunion.

Egg Hunting

We designated Saturday the day of the Easter bunny. He came to Queenie and Grandad's house and left bunches of eggs all over their LIVING ROOM(Aunt Funny had a little trouble finding this room in order to assist E.B.). Pics from the day:

This is the only image of the frogs captured on film before they had to leave and go play elsewhere(Kate kept telling us, "they had to go play, they're gone, they had to go play" when in all actuality they were thrown in suitcases back to Oklahoma)

It was Saturday, so it was Vivo. We all battled to the blinding rain and bitter cold(35 degrees) to get there but what a great group it was!

Today we went to an Egg Hunt at Jeremy and Mabrie's house. It was so fun-tons of eggs and great cookies! Sue sent everyone home with a gift bag-one of the items has become a new favorite toy in the bath...

Egg Hunting

We started egg hunting last week. Before our first official hunt, we practiced at home...Kate got the hang of it pretty quickly when she found out there was chocolate involved.

My Aunt Nancy(Brian's mom) sent me a link to a youtube video about the soldiers fighting the war. Fair warning that it will make you cry, but it will also remind you how human they are and how much they need our support. So proud of my cousin Brian!

Uncle B came to visit last weekend. Kate LOVED having him around and he was amazed at how little Lauren is no longer little.... (BONUS-just found out that he is coming for Easter as is Aunt Funny-yea!!!)
