Happy Halloween!

I know it has been a while since I have posted but both girls have pneumonia and ear infections. Welcome to fall weather and being in school!

We are going on Day 8 of being inside and trying to get well.

Decorating our pumpkins

Kate picked the pumpkins we brought home from the patch. We came home and as mother of the year, I let them PAINT...

Pumpkin Patch

After Strollerfit, we headed to a "pumpkin patch" in north austin. It was a BIT chilly but that made it much more like fall. Kate was not wanting to be in any pictures but Lauren posed over and over(as you will see).
Going to this "patch" has become a tradition in October. Looking back, every year we have made it out there, we had a baby in the mix: Lauren, then Cody and next year will be a little Walker...so fun!

Sorry for no posts in a few days-things have been so wild and fun since Queenie and Grandad returned. Here is a pic Queenie took on Sat night...will post more from that night and the pumpkin patch trip tomorrow.

Decorating for Halloween

The grocery store is LOADED with pumpkins and Kate kept asking to get one. I told her we had to decorate our house and then see where we needed more. SO we got out the fall decorations and as I put up the groceries, the girls went into my boxes of Halloween decor:

Note Lauren is on the phone in the previous picture...I asked her who she was calling "Grandad".

I asked Kate, while I was in the kitchen just listening to them "decorate" what she was doing. She said "decorating for Queenie...she is coming". Here is what I found them doing...

Dinner for Two

Pre-nap we made muffins-today was Columbus Day and there was no school. We stayed inside to try and clear up all this allergy/runny nose mess so that we CAN go to school on Wednesday.

Food Stylist?

Kate has started a new thing with food. Instead of "cooking" with her leftovers, she now "decorates"(or at least that is what she tells me she is doing). Her craft is not restricted to real food and most of the food in her kitchen has been used a time or two. Here is what I found on her stove after I put the girls down for naps-it is a good example of what she means when she says "no mom, I'm decorating"

Decorator or artist?

As this new hobby developed, so did her sisters love for messing up completed projects. Hard to believe with a face like this...

BUT today was a day of many hats or crowns for Kate...

Post naps it was bonding over Blue's Clues...
