8am-girls wake up-both are pretty snotty but acting FINE...running throughout the house, screaming and laughing.
9am-Kate tells me her "ear is still messed up". Girls are both pretty snotty and Lauren has a cough so I decide to call the dr and make an appt-better safe than sorry. Appt not until 4pm.
9:30-10am-I think they are well enough for their swimming lessons. They both do great but their instructor says Kate was being more quiet than usual.
10:10am-As I am putting Kate in the car, mucus starts pouring out of her left ear. I panic and call everyone I can(including the nurse at the drs office).
10:23am-Nurse calls me back and assures me that the mucus is not a big deal-likely just an ear infection but it is a good thing I have an appt with dr later.
12:30pm-Girls go down for a nap and seconds later Lauren is throwing up in her crib. She and all of her babies are covered in lunch.
1-3:15pm-Lauren throws up three more times(twice in her crib and once on me) and has a fever of 101.
3:55pm-Lauren starts throwing up in the drs waiting room-we are quickly moved to an exam room and Lauren's cloths are removed(since she is covered in vomit-before you ask, all she had from home to dr is water and that is what came back up...).
4:40pm-We are on our way home from the doctor with three prescriptions. Kate has a ruptured left ear drum and an infection on the right. Lauren has a respiratory virus and needs breathing treatments 3-4times a day for the next five days.
4:50pm-Dropping off the prescriptions at Walgreens I hear a funny nose from Lauren. She is throwing up again-all over herself and her car seat.
5:30pm-Lauren is on the couch and has not moved since her breathing treatment. Kate starts coughing and ends up throwing up all over the kitchen floor and sink.
6pm-Put Lauren to bed-she wants no dinner. She falls asleep within minutes-we have never seen her so sick(she has no color in her face and she can barely walk)
7:30pm-Put Kate to bed.
9pm-Kate wakes up with a coughing fit. I medicate her, take her into the living room and she falls asleep on me.
10:30pm-finally in bed and will only wake up once to give them both medicine
A
WILD Thursday but it made me appreciate being a stay at home mom. Although it was not easy, I would not have wanted anyone else taking care of them today.
Friday we spent the day getting better-mostly in our pajamas on the couch.
They are both MUCH better now! We made it to the Farmer's Market and Vivo today. Right now they are creating works of art at their table(in their favorite "outfits")
